Let's talk about one of the essential fruits you need in your diet, Bananas! Bananas, at 133 calories per cup, contain almost no fat, sodium or cholesterol (Paulien, 2017). Being high in fiber, they’re awesome for digestive health improving your overall mood and mental health and strengthens your immune system (Williams, n.d.). Bananas are known to help in relieving symptoms associated with depression. Serotonin and norepinephrine in bananas can help fight depression (Bonander, 2012). The potassium found in bananas helps to regulate blood pressure and may reduce the risk of high blood pressure and stroke (American Heart Association, 2017).
